Jackson Macdonald has been shortlisted for the 2027 Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup Selection Event, to be held at Sepang International Kart Circuit, Malaysia, on 27–28 October 2026. From a field of applicants across the Asia and Oceania region, 83 riders from 17 countries have been invited to the two-day selection event, with only three riders representing Australia. Round 3 of the Suzuka Sunday Series in Japan in early August brought hot conditions and another opportunity for Jackson to develop his race craft aboard the Honda NSF250. After a difficult qualifying session, back in Q10, the focus shifted to race day: reset, work with the team, find improvements and fight forward. With changes made to the bike, Jackson improved his pace throughout the race and set a new personal best lap time while working through traffic. The result: 🏁 P5
