SHORTLISTED | MOTO4 ASIA CUP
Jackson Macdonald has been shortlisted for the 2027 Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup Selection Event, to be held at Sepang International Kart Circuit, Malaysia, on 27–28 October 2026.
From a field of applicants across the Asia and Oceania region, 83 riders from 17 countries have been invited to the two-day selection event, with only three riders representing Australia.
For Jackson, this is an important step. The selection event will assess riders both on and off the track, with places on the 2027 Moto4 Asia Cup grid to be offered to the most promising young riders.
There is an enormous amount of talent within this shortlist, and Jackson knows there is still plenty of work ahead.
The focus now is simple: prepare, perform and make the most of the opportunity.
This is another important step in the development pathway Jackson has been building through training and racing in Australia, Spain and Japan, and another opportunity to test himself against riders from across Asia and beyond.
✅ The goal was to earn the opportunity to get to Sepang for the selection event. That first step has been achieved.
