šš DUAL VICTORIAN ROAD RACE CHAMPION & NEW LAP RECORD š„š„
Six race wins. Two championship titles. A new 85cc lap record and fitting farewell.
The Victorian Road Race Championship finale returned to Broadford on 10 October, with Jackson finishing his domestic season on a high across two categories.
š JUNIOR 250 / SUPERSPORT 300
On the Honda NSF250R, Jackson started from pole after setting a new personal best in qualifying, claiming four race wins and the championship overall.
āI was fortunate to have had tight racing at Round 1 down at Phillip Island with Archie Schmidt and Teerin Fleming. While I didnāt have a direct competitor in the class for the final two rounds, I used the track time against the 300s to focus on my own goals.ā
š„ JUNIOR 85cc / PREMOTO4 / 150 PRODUCTION
The Honda RS85, a 2006 85cc two-stroke engine in an older GP chassis, delivered a fitting farewell.
Jackson set a new 85cc lap record in qualifying, lowered it throughout the day and claimed two combined-class race wins. He ultimately beat the previous record, set by Joel Kelso on an RMU80, by 0.587 seconds.
āThe aim was to achieve the two-stroke lap record and to not only break it, but to take half a second off was amazing! Another goal was to get closer to the times of the Beons, which I have proved, and I took a couple of race wins off the new-gen bike. I am stoked to finish this class on a high and take home another championship.ā
A huge thank you to (dad) Glenn Macdonald, Tim Scriven and Christopher Panayi for their support on the day, and to everyone who continues to believe in Jackson - thank you! Special mention to the organising committee for providing us a high quality championship.
Jackson now heads to Suzuka for his All Japan Road Race Championship J-GP3 wildcard, then directly to Malaysia for the 2027 Moto4 Asia Cup Selection Event, before returning to Japan for the Suzuka Sunday Series finale, where he currently sits second overall.
