Aussie Athlete Fund - Technology One

Jackson and Mackenzie were privileged to attend the Aussie Athlete Fund Summit as part of the 2025 Green & Gold athlete cohort. Across the day they worked with 5x Olympian Nat Cook and other industry experts, learning about athlete branding, sponsorship, and fundraising success stories. They also connected with fellow athletes and came away with personalised roadmaps for their sporting and fundraising goals.

A huge highlight was being awarded a major prize – a laptop from Technology One – the timing could not have been better and it will be an essential tool for their training and competition schedules.

Both athletes are chasing international success in very different sports:

• Jackson (Motorcycle Road Racing) has travelled to Spain no less than 8 times in the past 18 months to train and race against the world’s best, now under the guidance of renowned coach Chicho Lorenzo. With costs including equipment, bikes in both Australia and Spain, tyres, and race fees (over $1000 per weekend to race locally), the support he receives is vital.

• Mackenzie (Taekwondo) has also travelled to Spain and South Korea this year alone, competing at the Spanish Open (quarterfinals), Chuncheon Open (silver), WT President’s Cup (gold) and the Australian Open (bronze). She trains 14 hours a week and her family drives over 800km weekly to support her schedule — with zero funding.

Their journey is a huge commitment, but one they embrace fully. Every partnership and donation — all of which are tax deductible — makes a real difference in helping them grow as athletes and as people.
