Epic Finale - Jackson shines at Cartegena

The finale of the MIR Finetwork Series in Cartagena Spain delivered an epic few days on track 👊🏻🔥

A refined set up, a few mechanical surprises, tough race tactics and some standout personal moments made for an exciting end to what has been a difficult race season.

The event opened with two full days of practice, a huge advantage for riders from overseas. Jackson made rapid progress, dropping his lap times and learning plenty from his telemetry technician.

On Saturday he qualified a strong 17th, with riders from 10th to 17th separated by less than one second. After one final adjustment the bike was race ready for Sunday.

Race one brought a tough start when the new clutch grabbed off the line. Jackson dropped back to 20th but charged back through the field with smart passing and strong defence to reach 13th on the final lap. A wide run into the gravel cost him one spot, finishing 14th. His pace was just over one second off the fastest lap, a big leap forward from his debut round at Navarra just a few weeks earlier.

Race two delivered a better launch but he missed the breakaway group. Jackson then held off six riders in his group, race under immense pressure, finishing the race in 14th and an impressive 12th overall for the round.

Across the weekend he showed incredible resilience and determination, taking major steps toward his goals against impressive international competitors.
