A big weekend on home soil for Jackson Macdonald Racing.Ā Two motorcycles. Two very different challenges. 7 wins, one mechanical DNF and plenty of learning.
š Junior 250 / Supersport 300
On debut at Broadford on the production Honda NSF250R, Jackson started from pole and claimed 4 race wins and the Junior 250 class overall, moving into the championship lead.
The goal was simple: build pace, learn the bike and keep progressing.
Race by race, Jackson chipped away at his lap times, finishing with another 0.4 seconds taken from his personal best in the final race. āThe NSF was amazing. I was able to drop my times quickly and as I improved, we made adjustments between sessions. Iām happy with the speed we achieved in the final race and know we can still develop the bike.ā

A very different challenge. Racing a 2006 Honda 85cc 2-stroke motocross engine in an older GP chassis, Jackson claimed 3 class wins, with a mechanical issue resulting in a DNF in Race 3.
With the newer-generation Beon machinery carrying a clear advantage, Jackson relied on precision and race craft to dramatically close the gap in the final race where he fought hard for position, crossing the line just 0.4 seconds from the race win and again finishing agonisingly close to the lap record previously set by Joel Kelso on an RMU80.
Glenn Macdonald summed up the weekend āJackson rode the wheels off the 85 and showed real mastery in skill and determination. His ability to put the motorcycle exactly where it needed to be, with accuracy, while applying pressure, was outstanding.ā

Jackson will return to Japan for the Suzuka Sunday Series finale in November, where he currently sits 2nd overall.
